Built in an existing renovated space in Nicosia, Cyprus, the design for the cafeteria is based on exposed ceilings and industrial looking mechanical and electrical ducks.
All architectural and decorative lighting is exposed, and the challenge was to provide adequate lighting along with performance and low glare for the occupants and customers. The aim was to highlight the main circulation areas, while illuminating the lounge seating areas by indirect dimmable lighting as well as decorative lighting at eye level, providing a warm and cozy atmosphere.
Cafe Nero presented an Award to Archtube for the project.
